Paul Trautman has never given up his quest to perfect borosilicate white. This is his latest recipe, and he feels it is the most smooth and dense white made in North America! Like all boro whites, Whiteout needs to be brought to temperature slowly, in a soft flame, before you can rage it. But once it’s hot it’s smooth and docile and resists the boiling and pitting that generally affects white boro. Rods are approximately 7-8 mm in diameter and 18 inches long with 9-10 rods per pound. Sample half rods are 9 inches long.
