Trautman Art Glass Pink Cadillac-18 is an opaque pastel pink color. Should be worked in a neutral or oxidizing atmosphere. Pink Cadillac is the smoothest, brighest opaque pink yet, far smoother than original Pink Blizzard. Try mixing with clear for a very soft delicate pink with a super smooth surface. At TAG they suggest warming in a softer, bushier flame to keep the air bubbles from rushing to the surface and leaving scabs where they pop. A hissy oxy flame on a forceful GTT for example will push air out waaaaay too fast when the Candy colors are still cool/cold, and will leave devit on the surface. Reduction flame does not discolor the Pink or Wisteria (or Slyme or Kiwi for that matter) but it does allow the heat to sink in without forcing the air to explode right away. For the cleanest results, we suggest warming up in a gassy flame, and remixing a bit in the flame to stir out air, and then either drawing it back out to a rod or stringer or just going to town on it at that point. Once its warm you can go to a sharper flame without any hassle.
Rods are approximately 8mm in diameter and 19 inches long, approximately 10 rods per pound. Sample half rods are 9 inches long.
